An honest overview of The Online Summit "Virtual Summit Mastery" & Navid Moazzez

A little about myself; I am a mother of 2 teenage boys, living in a small country town in Victoria, Australia.

I work 20 hours a week as well as help out on the farm where we live and oversee a business I set up in Ireland.

I set myself a target of 4 hours a day to work on my online business, The Menopause Whisperer.

Time is precious and every small step forward in my business is one step towards my goal of having an automated revenue stream as well as being recognised in my niche market as a speaker and wellness advisor.

My online entrepreneurial journey.

I work with women 45 + helping them overcome issues such a weight gain and low energy once they hit the menopause years, along with hot flushes and night sweats. I have called myself The Menopause Whisperer because it is in the whispers that we are heard.

Women at the age of 45+ may find the transition a difficult one. They may gain weight, suffer mood swings or hot flushes and as the Menopause Whisperer I help them by not dismissing their genuine fears and frustrations but by applying a sympathetic view of their needs and desires.

I have dabbled in many online programs. I was lured by the possibility of the riches and freedom to be earned with each online course making the rounds. I signed up with Ramit Sethi of I Will Teach You To Be Rich and Marie Forleo of School and these programs were great in getting me started in my journey.

I diligently followed the course material. Heck, I even won a meeting with Ramit in New York because I did so well on one of his  competitions. Below is the pic with myself and Ramit in NYC!!!

Having value to share and finding an outlet to share your knowledge takes time and perseverance. By having faith in myself that I do know my stuff, I was able to put myself “out there” and had articles shared on Huffington Post and Mind Body Green. One article that did particular with Huffington Post had me receive over 500 sign ups. All of a sudden I was a someone! But I needed to lift my game, things were not happening quite as well as I planned.

I needed to work out how to get myself out there in front of the women who needed to hear me. I needed to get my face out there and seen.

I wasted (yes wasted) my time speaking at one public event after another, sometimes with only 2 participants showing up. I needed an avenue that would get me seen without me losing precious time and money.

Fast forward to 2017 and I am now seen by thousands of women all over the world and rapidly being seen as an expert in my field. How did this happen I hear you asking?

How has this been made possible?

Navid Moazzez has created the online program, Virtual Summit Mastery(VSM). His site brags that he will show you the fastest way to grow your audience, influence and revenue.

One day, in my Facebook feed, someone mentioned Navid Moazzez. I do not remember who the person was but I sure remember Navid.

I needed an avenue that I could reach my subscribers. I would hire out rooms to do talks to help women in their menopause years but realised that these are the types of women who do not go out publicly and seek advice. In fact, most of these women will not even admit that they are close to menopause because they do not want to admit that that is where they are in life.

When I read about Navid and Virtual Summit Mastery I asked myself the question: Should I sign up for yet another course??

This time I decided to do what most people do before they part with their money. I decided to sign up for the free content first and then see what this guy has to offer.

From the day I signed up to Navid’s subscriber list the advice was sound and solid. He gave away so much information that I could nearly do a summit on my own. But then Navid shared exactly what came with the Virtual Summit Mastery package such as swipe copies and extra bonuses, as well as the fact that once you sign up, you receive any upgrades for FREE. That had me hooked. No more monthly subscriptions, and every time Navid upgraded the site (it has been upgraded three times now) I get the new information sent to me, without having to pay for the upgrade.

It was all there in one easy package.

Before I joined VSM I was selling the odd eBook here and there. I would read about how people would launch a product and make 1–10K in sales, when I would be lucky if I made $100 in a month. This was destroying any bit of confidence I had in creating a successful online career. I had a good subscriber list but I was having trouble taking it to the next level.

Since joining VSM 12 months ago I have created two summits. The first summit was put together very quickly and I saw it as a practice run. Truth was, I found it hard to put myself out there and being in front of a camera and this was something I had to overcome if I wanted to succeed. Believe me, it is not as easy as it may look!

Once I had one summit under my belt, I invested my time into the VSM Private Facebook group seeking advice.

I also met up with Navid in Spainfor his first mastermind event and it was awesome. The humility of this guy is amazing. And the group of us that attended the event are now great buddies and we all continue to support each other.

This Mastermind meet up was in Spain and was co hosted by two amazing guys, Primoz Bozic (formerly of Skyrocket Your Productivity) Tor Refslandboth business Coach Extradionaires. (See picture above)

With my second summit, my subscriber list went from 3K to 5K and I made 5K in revenue. My second summit, The 2017 Menopause Weight Loss Summit, is now an evergreen product. Sales are still coming through and I now have a solid online product to further increase my credibility.

Now I have more time available to create awesome guest posts to generate more subscribers as well as more sales from the summit.

I am also in the process of scouring for speakers for my 2018 summit. My plan is to do a fresh summit every year and make the previous year summit as part of the package to sign up to give even more valued content from one year to the next.

So, what is Virtual Summit Mastery?

VSM stands for Virtual Summit Mastery and Navid provides exactly what he promises.

Navid and his team have the steps all laid out for your from how to reach out to speakers, templates for your website, swipe copy for you to use when promoting the summit to your followers and much much more.

Navid can only do so much. You have to do your part also in making your summit a success. It is all about taking the knowledge that you are given, creating an online product that will give you more exposure and credibility you ever thought possible and then sharing it with hundreds and thousands of people all over the world.

No more hiring or venues.

No more worrying about venue costs.

No more travelling away from my family, (unless I go to Malta to attend Navid’s next Mastermind extravaganza).

With the step-by-step process and amazing Facebook interaction, I felt that someone had my back every step of the way.

Here are some of the questions I wondered before joining that you may be asking.

1. Do I need to invest thousands of dollars into a customised website?

Before I joined VSM I thought I would have to outsource to get my website looking like a professional site. The good news was that Navid has you covered for this (depending on what level you sign up for). For a few hundred dollars extra I was able to purchase beautifully looking templates that made my site look awesome without the headache.

I was able to get the website set up in less than one day, which allowed me to focus on other things like finding speakers etc.

2. How many speakers would I need to have?

For my first summit I only had 15 speakers, my second 20 speakers. For my third summit I aim to up my game and will be interviewing 30 speakers.

The choice is yours. Your priority should be quality over quantity.

You should aim is to get a quality following and this starts with building up your subscriber list. By having amazing speakers and getting answers to the questions your followers want to hear will get you the views and results you are looking for. But you can only do this once you have a true understanding of what your followers actually need to know as opposed to what you think they need to know.

Everyone knows that they need to eat less and exercise more. That is a given. So why are there so many overweight people?

In my summits, I want my speakers to share information that will be easy to follow, share tasty meals that are quick to prepare with a touch of the science behind why things work and why they do not. It is when my listeners get the Ah-ha moments and start making the right food choices for their body that makes every session of every summit so worthwhile.

This is a great way to get you exposure because it will lead to bigger and better things for your business. You do not want to create mediocre summits; you want to create the best go to summit in your niche. Thanks to the framework that Navid shares, you will know how to achieve this.

3. Do I need to spend time on Facebook or money on Facebook Ads?

I will not lie, for your first summit reaching out to people you are trying to attract may find you difficult to discover. You may aim for the leaders in your industry but they may be too busy for someone like you with a low subscriber list or not on their radar.

So yes, you should invest in Facebook Ads to generate sign ups for your summit.

But this is all covered in the tech vault of VSM, another perk that Navid shares with us all. Andrew Hubbard gives us a clear framework to work from in getting pixels set up on my site (I am so embarrassed to admit that I had never paid much attention to these little gems before I signed up for VSM) as well as how to get a basic Facebook ads up and running in a very short time and on a low budget.

4. What if I need help creating my summit?

I found the best part of joining VSM was joining the Facebook group. Having met Navid in Spain also allowed me to meet fellow VSM students that all bring different talents to the group. Legends like Augustas Kligys and Ciprian Soleriu or even Navid himself would be just a message away via the Private Facebook Group any time I needed a hand with my site or a moral boost or two.

Having an online business can be lonely at times, but with the right Facebook group, under supportive leadership, you never feel alone.

5. Will I make money?

This is always the most important question that should be asked. But do not get drawn in by “get rich quick” schemes.

I will not lie; creating a summit takes a lot of work. Ramit says it, Navid says it, Primoz says it and I will say it. When you do all the background work and understand your clients burning desires and have a product that will give them the solution you are looking for, then the results you are looking for will be achievable.

It also was tough when I did my first round of interviews. I had never put myself in front of a camera and this was a tough hurdle that I had to jump. Actually it was the start of a few hurdles.

But I realised that it was me that was putting up those barriers. I was the one sabotaging my success.

With Virtual Summit Mastery I had no more excuses, the entire framework was there for me to follow. All I had to do was follow the system that Navid set out and no more excuses.

I went from being happy selling 1 eBook a week, to making my first 5K in a launch.

And this is just the start.

I will do better next time.

I am slowly building up my following, my exposure, my subscribers and learning from them exactly what they are looking for. I still follow the basics of Zero To Launch and build on this foundation when I apply my time to Online Summits.

My aim now is not just making sales from summits, but to be the person people turn to when they need help losing weight in their later years, or even being a speaker on other summits or podcasts.

The best part is waking up in the morning and finding a sale or two happened overnight or out shopping and an order comes through, without me having to do anything. Everything is fully automated.

I will soon be traveling from Australia to Ireland for work knowing that all I need to do is carry my laptop or phone to answer any queries at a moments notice.

No pressures to hurry home and make sure orders are being sent out.

Now that I have done the hard work up front, I can start reaping the benefits of all my hard work for months, if not years, to come.

Now that my second summit is fully automated as an evergreen product I can automate all the sales without having to lift a finger.

And now that my system is fully automated, I am able to concentrate on creating more guest posts to generate more subscribers and having the time to listen to their questions via Facebook and email to further know their burning desires and what they would like to hear more about in future summits.

Other reasons why I love Virtual Summit Mastery

I get to work the hours I want. Having a young family and working odd hours was proving difficult before VSM. But once I joined the world of Virtual Summits I was able to send out a calendar to potential speakers listing the times I was available and we would always find a time that suited us both.

I can work at my pace. This is important for me. I want a business model that works with my needs AND still generate an income. At the moment my time is limited and if I pushed myself too much I would burn out fast and no one would benefit. Not my children, not my followers and certainly not me. Do not underestimate the amount of time it takes to nurture your followers. Their needs and desires deserve to be addressed.

What I have discovered since joining VSM:

1. The Virtual Summit Mastery model gives subscribers the chance to watch the summit for free for a limited time and who doesn’t like a freebie? When you get subscribers you will have a subscriber for life because you are giving quality information to them for free, and information that they are having trouble-finding elsewhere on the net. The mentality of your followers is that they feel if you are giving such great information for free then they can imagine what great quality your product is and they will be more willing to purchase.

2. The quality of your subscriber list is more important than quantity.

3. The importance of building relationships with other leading online entrepreneurs in your niche.

4. By reaching out to fellow experts in your field you are helping them to promote themselves while building up your own exposure and they in turn will send other candidates your way for future summits or webinars. This is what is called a “win-win” for all. When you do whatever you can do to help your contacts/speakers awareness grow, and vice-versa, you are constantly opening up new opportunities that helps you all grow your businesses.

5. I am not alone in my own self sabotage with mindless chatter along the lines of:

  • Can I really make a summit?   Yes you can!
  • What if nobody buys a pass?   They will if you follow the steps Navid meticulously sets out.
  • What if I look like an idiot in the videos?   With quality information being shared, people will be too busy writing notes to worry about what you look like!
  • Each time I try to sell an eBook, sales are very slow, so how do I know Virtual Summit Mastery will work?   I repeat, once you have put your trust in Navid and followed the system, you will have a summit that people will want to watch.

This is where the wonderful Facebook group in VSM always come to the rescue also. Once you overcome these limiting beliefs the world is your oyster.

I will be transparent and expose myself here.

My first summit generated very few sales. I skipped a few steps and was in a bit of a rush to get the summit live. This is akin to following a diet plan thinking that you can cheat a little and have a pizza every day and still lose weight.

Newsflash: If you do not follow the guidelines you will not get the results.

My second summit I hit 5K in sales, this was the first time I hit 5K in any product launch. Yes, I was doing the happy dance, but I know I can do better, and I will in my next summit.

The beauty of summits is that I can fully automate my systems and subsequent sales.

When I first started out in this online business I kept every thing simple, and cheap, and it showed. EBooks were downloaded from Google Drive but were not automatic or professional looking.

With help from Navid I was able to source excellent platforms such as Thrive Cart and Thrive Themes and Wishlist and Convertkit. Once you integrate these additions to your site, you have a polished and professional looking site and believe me if I can integrate them then so can you.

My business is now 90–95% automated. New subscribers come through guest posts such as these Huff Post & Sixty & Me. By creating content that interest women 45+ they are more likely to subscribe to my e-mail list so they can receive lots of free information that I readily share with them. Some of the readers may purchase an eBook or The Weight Loss Accelerator Pack which they get instant, automatic access to through the automation sequences I have set up.

Know your target audience

Zero to Launch and B School had me ready for this one.

Doing a summit straight away is not going to get inside the minds of your followers and know what questions to ask. In order to have a successful summit you need to know the burning desires of your followers.

My niche is women 45+ helping them to lose weight through diet and lifestyle changes.

It would not make sense for me to have a young woman in her early 20’s as a speaker trying to extoll the virtues of running marathons when most of my followers are lucky if they have time to exercise once or twice a week.

By connecting with my followers via platforms such as a Private Facebook Group I am able to understand their burning desires and have their questions in mind when I am interviewing my speakers.

Be sure to make yourself stand out and be willing to ask for help when you need it.

One thing I find is when Private Facebook groups are set up people sometimes sit and lurk around in them. They do not share any information or interact and when they ask a question out of the blue they wonder why no one answers them.

Now, I know you are going to say that you do not have anything to share BUT you do.

Even the simplest of interactions could be when someone asks which logo you prefer. Come on, that is an easy one. There is no correct answer here. They all may look great but one may stand out better than the other and you chime in when you can.

When you interact more in a Facebook group people will remember you and when you ask a question they will be more than willing to help you. It is helpful to know that it works both ways and no one likes someone who pops into a group only when they want help and leave when others are seeking help also.

Just as it is important to help others when you can, it is imperative that you seek help when you have exhausted all avenues to find the solution to your problem. Do not be afraid and say any of the following:

  • I should know this...or...I will look stupid if I ask this question.
  • I can work it out on my own, even if it takes me days to work it out.
  • I do not want to waste other peoples' valuable time.

Being vulnerable may have you feeling uncomfortable, but once you get over this feeling, you will really be able to improve on your weaknesses that are holding you back from building a successful business faster.

Remember also, and this has happened to me, someone may ask a question that you wanted to know also or in the answers you find out something that had been bugging you but you could not quite put your finger on it.

Another tip is, don’t be lazy. Use the search tool in the Facebook group to see if someone else has asked a similar question. Facebook has recently moved the box and is now on the left hand side of the page. See where I have the arrow pointing. It is amazing how many under utilised this box. It can open up a whole new outlook on getting you unstuck at any point when you are setting up your summit.

How will YOUR life change if you go through Virtual Summit Mastery?

This is not going to be a quick way to make money.

Be ready to invest a lot of time into your first, and subsequent, summits. I had a lot of issues to overcome. Issues such; as putting myself on camera, talking to the camera directly, exposing myself or wondering if anyone would listen to me or even buy from me.

If you follow the system and guidelines Navid has set out for you and have a summit up and running, with automation in place, it can give you the ability to do whatever you want, whenever you want, without financial restrictions, for months.

For me I want time to spend with my family while they are still at school and need my attention. I am slowly building up my name and exposure within the time restraints that are part of my life at this present time.

I do not want stress in my life; I want a career but also want to be a mother. I do not want to feel torn between the two and for now I have my life moving in the right direction.

Here are some examples of success stories using the Virtual Summit Mastery model:

1. Steph Gaudreau had a solid business in the paleo world but wanted to pivot to focusing on her health and fitness programs. Though she was sceptical, she went for it and grew her email list by close to 20,000 subscribers and generated 100’s of sales with the Women’s Strength Summit.

2. Diana Rowan created the Virtual Harp Summit and amassed 2,100 subscribers. 460 attendees purchased the all-access passes (a very impressive conversion rate). Diana is getting ready to launch a membership site and is already planning Virtual Harp Summit 2.0 for 2017.

This is just two of many people who built a considerable list and significant revenue while becoming an instant authority in their niche.

There are so many opportunities out there, and you can definitely get them as well.

But, you have to be willing to put in the effort. You have to be willing to commit to at least 5–6 hours a week working on your summit.

I know I do not have the time to devote myself to 20–30 hours a week, there is not enough hours in the day for me. But I do know that most evenings I find myself on my computer, writing content or writing emails, even if it is just 30 minutes every evening.

I never thought I would have time to write this article, but I decided to carry my computer with me everywhere I went and so far I have added to this epic blog post on the train, at the hairdressers, waiting for a work associate who was late for our meeting and every evening for the past week while the family were watching the television.

Entrepreneurs do not get where they are by someone “discovering them” and doing all the work for them. You have to do the groundwork to reap the benefits. I like the fact that I am not wasting my time when putting together summits and writing guest posts to improve my outreach. This is a proven system that will give you the results you are looking for and not waste your time.

Still on the fence if Virtual Summit Mastery is right for you? I can guarantee that Virtual Summit Mastery is for you IF:

  • You understand that the process takes time and effort. In the beginning you may feel swamped but in time you will benefit from the hard work that you put in now for years to come. You will actually be surprised how many new opportunities will open up for you once you get everything up and running.
  • You do not focus your fears but direct your focus towards putting in the work and getting the results you are looking for.
  • You are focused on what it is you want and getting the results you want.

If you are still reading this then chances are you are going to sign up very soon when the next opening for Virtual Summit Mastery becomes available. Navid only opens it up once or twice a year to ensure that he and his team are able to give their full attention. Be sure to check out his page to see when the next opening is.

Once you sign up, be sure to check me out in the Private Facebook group where I will be happy to help you out if you are stuck with something. I love helping others in any way I can and we all love to hear success stories with each summit launch in the Private Facebook group. We call it our summit family where we can share the wins as well as the losses.

Yes there will be losses, just like my first summit, but if you learn from these losses and grow then they are not really a loss but a blip in your journey. I like to think of it as:

I never make mistakes, but rather, make stepping-stones in learning.

Navid and his team will give you all the knowledge, information and support you need to create a successful online summit but remember that in the end it is YOU that has to be willing to put in all the hard work.
